今日、めぐみといっしょにお正月のことをしゃべりました。たいてい日本人はおせちりょうりを食べてお年だまをもらったりはつもうでにいったりします、でも今年のお正月は家族といっしょにこうはくうたがっせんを見るつもりだと言っていました。その後に音楽のことをしゃべりました。めぐみさんは日本の音楽のほうがアメリカより好きです。AKB48がいちばん好きなアーティストだと言っていました。
The biggest difference I noticed of new years is how much of a big deal it is in Japan. In America we have the whole ball drop thing but in Japan they have Kouhaku show with all of Japan's most famous celebrities and singers on it. Hatsumoude is also really important to go to for Japanese Buddhists. In the US there is not really a religious part of the new year.
YEah, I think new year's in Japan is one of the most important and biggest annual events in Japan.
